Benjamin Arlaud

Benjamin Arlaud came from a Genevan family of watch makers. He and his older brother Jacques-Antoine specialised in miniature painting. After spending some periods at the court in Düsseldorf he seems to have worked in France and Amsterdam before settling in London at around 1709. There he was given the title of royal court painter.
