Louis Bertin Parant (Parent)

This multitalented pupil of Jean Leroy painted among other things portraits in miniature and in oils. However, brilliantly painted cameo imitations with their striking likenesses were his speciality. He worked in the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres and also produced lithographs. Napoleon I, his wife Josephine and Louis XVIII were among his patrons. Between 1800 and 1834 he presented his miniatures at the Paris Salon.
