Bernd Pappe

Born in 1966, Bernd Pappe has a PhD in art history and another degree in art conservation/restoration. He has written various articles and books about artists, techniques and restoring miniatures. He acts as a conservator for various collections including the miniature collection of the Musée du Louvre in Paris. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the miniature painter Jean-Baptiste Jacques Augustin. In 2015 it was published with the generous support of Lieselotte Tansey. He has been on the board of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation since 2016.

Juliane Schmieglitz-Otten

Born in 1961, Juliane Schmieglitz-Otten is a historian and Germanist. In 1988 she joined the academic staff at the Bomann-Museum Celle, where she is responsible for the Tansey Collection. She is also Head of the Residenzmuseum in Celle Castle. She has published on museum pedagogy, territorial history and the history of residences. Together with Bernd Pappe she prepares the exhibitions and accompanying catalogues. She has been on the board of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation since 2016.

Photography and IT Coordination

Birgitt Schmedding

Born in 1964, Birgitt Schmedding is an IT consultant and free-lance photographer. Since 1996 she has been responsible for preparing the picture material, structure, development and support for the database of miniatures and the website of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation. She has been on the board of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation since 2016 and became chair of the board for the period up to 2026.

Tax, legal and financial

Dr. Ulrich Möhrle

Born in 1965, attorney-at-law, tax advisor, certified tax lawyer, MBA. Partner at Möhrle Happ Luther in Hamburg since 1998 and specialised in tax and business planning, business and wealth handover and succession planning. Since 1997 he has been responsible for the tax, legal and financial affairs of the foundation. He has been on the board of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation since 2016.
