European Portrait Miniatures: Artists, Functions and Collections

In January 2013 the Tansey Miniatures Foundation organised the first conference on miniature painting in Germany. 22 experts from six countries met in Celle Castle to talk about artists, history und meaning of miniature painting. They presented outstanding but still little known collections in museums and hidden treasures in private collections.
