Jean (Johann, Juan) Bauzil (Bauziel)
Bauzil trained as an artist with Gaubert Labeyrie in Toulouse and exhibited some paintings, pastels, drawings, and miniatures there at the Royal Academy from 1784 to 1789, and also at the Paris Salon in 1793. In 1797, he entered the service of the Spanish king Charles IV as “Pintor de Camara”. He may have travelled to England at around 1812.
