Francesco Emanuele Scotto
Scotto was a student of C.G. Ratti at the Academy Ligustica in Genoa, where he won an award in 1780. After that, he studied with Vangelisti in Rome. After returning to Genoa he became very successful with miniature oil portraits. In 1800 he became a professor at the Academy and was promoted to the post of Director for two years in 1824.
