Ferdinando Quaglia
Quaglia studied in Parma, Florence, and in Paris from 1805, where he finally took up permanent residence. He was court painter to Empress Josephine and worked for the Swedish royal court. In addition to creating miniatures he painted views of towns. From 1808 to 1824 he participated his works in the Salon’s exhibitions, and was awarded prizes in 1814, 1822 and 1824.
